The drug BEXTRA (generic name: valdecoxib) was removed from the U.S. and European markets on April 7, 2005 due to safety concerns. Peter Embi, MD, University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, provides a brief overview about the BEXTRA removal.
