"Ask an Expert" is a question and answer service brought to you by health care professionals of University of Cincinnati, The Ohio State University and Case Western Reserve University. These include physicians, nurses, pharmacists, dentists, psychologists, optometrists, dietitians, physical therapists, social workers and allied health professionals. The health professionals who answer your questions volunteer their time as a community service.
The "More" and "Search" options of "Ask an Expert" allow you to look at other questions and answers in that topic. The expert may also add web links to other sites with helpful information.
Each expert answer includes the author's name. Clicking on the name links you to the author's biographical information.
We continue to add expert topics, so if you don't find what you're looking for, check back later for new topic areas. Email us at info@netwellness.org if you have suggestions or questions about future topics.
Please do not sign your name or include your email address in your question. Ask an Expert is an anonymous question and answer service. This allows everyone to benefit from all of the questions and answers posted on Ask an Expert.
To receive a notice when your question has been answered, enter your email address in the optional address box after you've entered your question.
When you ask your question, remember the topic area and the title you give your question. In a few days, return to the same health topic. Look in the "Recent Questions" area. Your question should be near the top of the list.
If you do not find your answer in a few days, it usually means that your question needs a little extra research time.
If you would like to ask about a question that has not been answered in a reasonable length of time, or about other aspects of using "Ask an Expert," please email us at info@netwellness.org.
NetWellness periodically archives experts' responses. The experts in each topic area determine when responses are archived. Responses that do not provide health information, such as those that identify a question as outside an expert's scope, remain on NetWellness for a shorter time period than those that provide health information. Should an error be identified in a response, the expert author will correct it and note the correction. Answers may also be updated, and NetWellness experts will identify these updates.
